A white shirt

Posted: 30.03.2007 at 01.11
I am a big fan of white shirts and I have loads of them in my wardrobe but I want another one lol! I'm after quite a mannish style one that I can wear with skinny jeans and maybe a waistcoat. It needs to be quite loose because all the ones I have at the moment are tailored fit and my boobs wont fit in them while I'm trying to loose my baby weight (its the only place I've put any weight on and I'm scared I'm gonna look like a Barbie doll if they don't go back to normal quite fast!)
Anyway does anyone know of anywhere that sells any nice ones preferably online so it's easy to get hold of?

Hey! A shared obcession!!! :-D

Herringbone do gorgeous shirts but I am yet to own one myself... oneday though! Definitly worth having a look at the website herringbone.com.au
I also have a cufflink style Wayne Cooper that is great, but isn't so easy to wear as an everyday as it is crisp cotton with french cuffs - but gorgeous.
But my favourite white shirt in my wardrobe is my Blazer shirt. It is loose, and is that perfect "boyfriends shirt" fit. I absolutly love it to bits and live in it. I am not sure if they do them anymore as mine is years old, I actually pinched it off my mum as she got it as a gift and never really wore it as she likes hers to be fitted where as I love mine loose!

Hope this helps at all. Let me know what you end up getting as I am thinking about getting a new one myself!

Hope this helps!

As a guy I think white shirts will never go out of style. I love the clasic look of a white shirt and jeans during spring and summer months. Whether its a simple fitted white t-shirt, the casual classic dress shirt, or the white polo. I love my white shirts. Its an easy way to make an outfit look stylish effortlessly.

i have the most gorgeous white dolce and gabbana shirt. its more man-style with long sleeves, button cuffs and a pleat at the back but it fits really well- not too tight (i have boobs so to find one that buttons across without lookin like the slutty secretary is hard) but not too loose either. I love it cuz i can wear it to work but it also works well casually :) Oh and you are SO lucky you only put weight on your boobs Samantha!

My fav white shirt is a Paul Smith women one that's sort of mannish too, french cuffed and crisp but has the most beautiful detail - every seam is set slightly apart (a few millimetres) and the gaps are stitched across by a sort of lemon yellow cotton thread. It's hard to explain... it's just a really subtle, delicate detail.

I've been looking everywhere for a nice loose-ish white shirt! I've found a few but they're a bit out of my budget, anyone know where I could pick one up that won't break the bank?

My favorite white tee has to be one vintage one that I have, it's lace trimmed and it has a twist knot in the front, hugs me in all the right places, and makes my tan glow! dontcha love white?

http://www.americanapparelstore.com/ has some pretty cool options in tees as well, and they are all really cheap and sweat shop free!

Nothing beats a white shirt, a 2 dollar bargain from an op shop, or something expensive. Nothing beats them. goes with everything. If you like the really manish fit, just jump on ebay. The have some fabulous vintage ones that have a little quirk to them.
