First post :D So, I have a steel-boned overbust black silk corset that I had made for my high school ball a few years ago, and it's lovely (and gives me a 20" waist!). Unfortunately, since then I haven't really worn it except as part of a Halloween costume. My question is, does the underwear as outerwear trend give me an excuse to wear it, and if so, any styling tips? Or is it doomed to stay in my closet for the rest of its life?

It definitely can be worn as a part of the lingerie as outerwear trend. The most obvious way, though also the riskiest, would be over hot pants or a body suit (preferably in full black). You could also wear it over denim shorts and under a fitting blazer for something toned down.
