Alex Perry closed the first day of fashion week with stunning long gowns and the return of pastel colours. Renowned for his wedding dresses, Alex Perry showed his versatility with evening dresses that were both tailored and graceful. Celebrities such as Megan Gale watched on while models paraded in a range of dresses which were flowing, feminine and elegant.

Celebrity hair stylist Joh Bailey fixed the models backstage prior to the show with "cartoon pony tails" - high and bouncy hair to compliment the dresses and ensured that their hair did not detract from the attention that the dresses were demanding.

They're fantastic! Love the goddess draping that's going on, and the beading.

I love Alex Perry's use of colour, and the dramatics in all of his clothes.
Just on thing bothers me...

His dresses are lined in polyester.

If you were paying $500 + for a gown, why on earth would you want your divine gown to wrap you in the worst man-made fiber that promotes clingy smelly sweating????? Come on Mr Perry, at least line them in a low grade silk, a natural fiber that allows the body to breath and not feel like ick-ville on your skin. Makes you wonder what you are really paying for...
