Well the suits are all back (I'm wearing one right now - Paul Smith London, three button, multi-striped navy concoction). And of course, there's more off for tailoring this coming week. I'm going to cut in a shirt, my new Gucci pants (they're a 34, I'll take them down to a 33), another pair of pants in preparation for spring, and I'll probably throw another jacket into the mix.
I dont really wear anything I havent altered myself these days, the curse of the fashion student, slaving away over a Janome. I often buy clothes knowing what I want to do to them. It takes a little practice for it not to look tacky though.
How far can you push an item when getting it altered?
I'm terrible with remembering my jacket size, and have recently acquired a suit which appears to have been owned by a top heavy man. I swim in the jacket but the pants fit.
How many sizes could you get a jacket taken down before it looses it's essential shape, style and cut?
It's a 50 and I'm an... (Oh grow up people we all know what I am, just not what size I wear)
