I've never been, but I walked past it Saturday night and it looked like a hell of a dive. The queue was a mile long, 99.95% of it was comprised of guys, and the only girls in sight were police officers.

Anyone been?

Honestly its not a bad place given into account that they introduced metal detectors because of the fights and stabbings that took place. Now they are safe on the inside so they think You are right about the girls being the minority there are reasons for it that I can not go into on this forum, but they are the reason for about 80% of the arguments. The other 20% is racial and drug related that is why chapple st is blocked off all the time.

That being the case, the girls probably get straight in and the horde of guys are just made to wait.

What's the history of Chasers, has it always been in the same spot on Chapel St? Is it the club where all the violence was a few years ago?

Chapel St pretty much has a wide history of violence, The one that got the most attention was Salt though.

So am I confusing Salt with Chasers?

Chasers used to be Zos. I went for the first time ever a month ago, and had a great time. Admittedly, I went with a huge group of girls and boys (almost 40 of my mates) and the music was ok, which is probably why I had a good time. Went back a second time because a friend insisted I did, and it was..lets see...how do I put this...shit? as in amazingly boring and blah and had 30 people max inside even though they had free entry going on. A waste of a Friday night that was :(
