I think Chapel St is dying as a night spot anyway.

So am I confusing Salt with Chasers?
maybe, maybe not. chasers (or at least the venue) has had problems with violence too.

but salt was the one that had shootings, stabbings and then the incident with stabbing and guys drowning in the yarra!

Okay, so it's Salt where I definetley don't want to go, and Chasers which I'll avoid as a matter of choice.

I think Chapel Street is dying as a venue anyway, with more stuff moving off it onto the likes of Greville Street.

the magority of the female crowd is 16-17, which is pretty good for me coz i can get in no questions but maybe not so good for you... it can be a bit snobby and a fair few arguments but otherwise it isn't too bad, wouldn't recomend it though.. it's pretty inconsistent

lol the guys r overage, girls underage... most anyway. I wouldn't reccomend going though honestly. If you want to try a cool club, venue wise anyway go to euro trash bar.. think iv said it before but ye. i went once nd was very impressed

I've been to Chasers and I also went when it was still called zos...
I have to admit I don't really like it - the music is average, the crowd can be quite sparse (even on a Friday night) and when their very random performing dancers come on they shoo everyone off the dance floor which sort of breaks up the whole party feel.

Well I used to go to Chasers when it was still Chasers (before it was ZOS), to the underage nights on Friday afternoons! Now that was a fun time, when guys who were 18/19 used to use their younger brother's ID cards to try and get in and pick up young girls.
Then I went once for a Hen's night when it was ZOS, and like someone said before, there were about 30 people in there that night. And about half of them had eyes bulging out from too many drugs.
Haven't been back since. I personally despise what it has become. But then I'm a fan of more intimate and alleyway venues, like when Honky Tonks was still Honky Tonks (still so shattered to lose it), Workshop, and ok, I love onesixone.
