Ok so Im on a quest to find a crossover tie, something like this (its a picture from hem&haw):

Does anyone know what the hell they're called? Its so cool.. but I've only ever seen it in this photo and on season 1 gossip girl.. its part of their school uniform! cheers

hmm probably. but i cant tell if its just a straight linear piece of cloth or if its been cut like a curved piece of cloth =S

I believe they're cut with a curve, but taking a cue from a tie I can't imagine it being a necessity.

This can also be done by using ribbon - just go to a fabric/craft store and pick up half a meter of say a grosgrain ribbon that's a few centimeters wide. Fit it under your collar and use a little pin / brooch to keep it in place. I've also seen it done with black velvet ribbon, which had a nice effect.

i swear i had to wear those ties with my girl scout uniforms....u should try a uniform store that actually sell middle n high school uniforms...im sure u will find them there
