Hi all

I am a complete bag and shoe snob and proud of it..unfortunately my bank balance does not match my enthusiasm which can make me quite sad when a new Louis Vuitton hits the stores. My girlfriend put me onto a replica bag site that I was a little nervous of, but I have just got my 1st order and it is fab! I ordered an LV Speedy and it arrived Friday and I love it!! The quality is brilliant and there's no way you can tell its a fakey.

Is it wrong to fake it?

Of course it's wrong to fake it.

The point of any of these goods is that they're a luxury item, and the fakes offer none of the luxury or quality.

replicas lose money for the company and trash their name
my mum bought me a louis vuitton denim skirt a while back, before the crazy logo craze came along- i wore it once before everyone started carrying the logo around
it makes people who generally buy the brand, be off put by it
whats the point of buying a replica? the brands arnt ment for everyone to have, hence the price tag, save up, and youll enjoy it more... oh and its illegal =)

Whenever I see a brand now, I'm automatically suspicious and I assume they're not genuine simply because of the craze.

It's definitely a turn off.

Plus, if you save up and buy it, it means that little bit more because you've put in the effort and reaped the rewards.

And as Kaz said: it's illegal.

The greatest irony in this, the original message included a link to a site selling them. No takers I guess ;)

Yeah even though they are bad, the quality always isnt.
I stole a "Amorni" bag off my mum the other day.
Crappy rip off but the quality is quite good,
nicely lined and italian leather.

but yeah still doesnt make it any better!

I hate the logo plastered "designer" bags, etc., BECAUSE of the rip-offs. I see women getting out of old rusted cars wearing Luis Vuitton. No one spends more on a bag than their car! I simply don't understand why there is still a demand for the real ones. I wouldn't have one at this point. I love designer ... if it's subtle.

I agree with what everyones said. And hope this doesnt end up being a six page comment from me. They are luxury brands for a reason. And to be honest if you want something designer without the pricetage wait for sales, or even go to you local Target, topshop, h&m to get the cheaper designer brands. Thats what they are there for, the common folk to buy items of ideas they stored up years ago for a budget line.

personally everytime i see a louis vuitton bag now its like seeing people leaving the supermarket with their environmental totes. Its common. And the worst thing is the attitude the people have that are carrying the fakes. They think they have struck gold. People who enjoy real luxury dont throw the attitude around, in fact they usually use the bag for a season and then ends up at the bottom of their wardrobe.

In closing, id just like to say, its your money, you spend it how you like, u pay for a lesser product, u will recieve one, if it makes ur outfit look good wear it, but just remember that people will be looking at it and wondering if you really bought louis vuitton or any other brand that has a monogram splashed over it, or if you have just spent $300 bucks on a jetstar flight to Bangkok.
