I've got to wait about a month for Nokia to send me a replacement phone (1 month is a joke) so probably need to purchase something in the interim. Samsung seems to be about the most viable price wise, but I've never used one.
I friggin hope so. And if they send me some reconditioned crap they'll really hear about it. Frankly, in one month my bet is I'll get the same phone back.
try to stay away from phones made in korea (ie. LG, Samsung, etc). So far I haven't heard of any good stories with those phones. Gimme an old school brick GSM phone anyday now - at least they lasted knocks!
I have a samsung Z400, and i have afew friends that have them. And they're actually good. I'd warn you big time about LG phones though, I had two of them and they both broke down on me within 6 months. Had to take them to get repaired and all that crap, and they just got wrecked (liek the screens stuffed up, and went all weird, they turned on and off, and they were just really bad phones). Turned out LG knew about these faults but still SOLD them.
The Nokia clearly had faults they didn't want to admit. I ended up with a completely new body, and batteries from a later model 'not meant to work' in my model. Pfft, the phone has never been better - I charge it about once a week these days.
