Are skinny jeans on the way out?

A few people have recently been tolling the bell for the skinny jeans trends, on the way out they tell us. Joining them today is A Socialite's Life who says "about time". Their proof?

But two A-list celebrities (Penelope Cruz, Katie Holmes, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba are pictured) don't make a trend, especially when they all look so bloody terrible in them.

But what's really going on? People are simply experimenting with their denim. It's not the first time in recent memory either. Hypermodel Kate Moss tried high-waisted denim last year and the same people rushed to tell us skinny jeans were dead, and we saw where that went. Few people wore them, and each looked as bad as the other. Moss herself has gone back to skinny jeans, Siwy in particular.

So don't pack away your skinny jeans. They're still very much on the legs of the best fashionisers.

i love skinny jeans- but you have to have the right body shape and shoes to wear them. I like my high waisted straight legs too- perfect for a fat day when u dont want the muffin top to show :P Baggy jeans jsut make me look bulky!

I love my skinny jeans. And I will rue the day when we go to wide leg look so unflattering and yuck.

Next thing we're all going to be Gangsta? I think(& hope) not.

Skinny jeans are here to stay:) No question. If you have the figure, then wear them! If you dont, then dont try it though. A good pair of well fitting snug jeans is a MUST and a walk around Paris will show just how rare baggies are on good looking people. What amuses me in the UK and some other countries, are the young guys with the massive baggies with the jeans crotch near their knees! Their walk is really odd lol

As long as there are good bods around, skinnies will be around and as such be a mark of something good:) No worries, skinnies are here to stay.

Katie's pants look like raver 'fatties' but in denim. Please dont tell me that the likes of Cross Colors are going to make a comeback. I'm quite happy with my Tsubi's.

that article says "wide-leg jeans flatter every shape". Uhm no. they make you look FAT. Unless ofcourse you are stick-thin in which case they add enough bulk to your frame. 4 celebs wear them and suddenly they are the next big thing? maybe they were all having a "im too fat for my skinny's today" day. Besides, if you have hips they jsut make you look, well, wide. Really this notion of "flatter every shape" that I am hearing about a few current trends makes me gag- nothing flatters every shape people!

uhm yeah, "wide-leg" jeans definately make you look fatter, haha, no matter what size or shape you are, skinny jeans will always make you look skinnier.

I love my skinny jeans, and I can't imagine going back to wide leg, they feel weird and move around so much it's just strange, hahaha.

And plus, skinny jeans go with pretty much anything, any occasion, they're just the perfect thing to go with any outfit, though I must say, the new dresses with jeans trend looks horrific, but yeah... they're still doing it >___>
