It seems like a big jump to go from skinnies to waaay baggy. katie looks like she's wearing the wrong size...imagine those cuffs in the rain!

I don't like women wearing baggypants. It makes them look very male, small and fat.
And skinnies they just go with everything and always look great
But all in all I still prefer skirts and dresses

A very dramatic bell on a jean can be so appealing, especially with a good pointy heel. Nothing will ever replace skinny jeans though, thank god.

I think that the wide leg jean trend will in fact come in, but also go out just as fast while the skinny jean style will stay around for the time being. I love a good pair of dark wash skinny jeans because they lengthen my somewhat short legs to balance my longer torso. Also, skinny jeans are extremely versatile, they are almost the only ones I own, with exception to a couple pairs of straight leg and boot cut. Skinny jeans are great for a casual day of shopping or lunch date, but also with heels and a party top for a night out.

Skinny jeans are sticking around because there are so versatile. I think the oil-slick/wet look leggings were an evolution of the skinny jean - girls want them tighter, with no baggy knees! Or that might just be me. Wide jeans by default look scruffier i think skinny jeans can pull a look together - and are better for showing off shoes!

The design/cut of skinny jeans is not new. A famous image of 1950's Audrey Hepburn comes to mind (capri pants). Think about the "chicks" in the movie Grease. Jeans are America's uniform and the skinny style leg works! They tuck into UGGS & they flatter your stillettos. They won't go away anytime soon. BUT....1) Skinnys are not business attire, in even in a jeans friendly office and 2) The Skinnies market has been saturated.
Low-waisted, skinny bootcut gives you a great top fit, smooth legs and a little less focus on shoes....I know, I know but there is a time when the attention should be on you NOT your Jimmy Choos. Skinny Flare Jeans are my favorite.
