Hey,

I saw 'Australia' last night.
It was both so good, and bad at times, it ended up average.

Dispite what critics were saying
Nicole did a great job and i thought
Hugh was the one who was nothing spectacular,
in fact downhill from other roles he has played. She was playing a charcter who she dosnt actually lives as, were Hugh didnt have to venture to far.
Thats just how i felt.
His character was too sterotyped and the scrpt
was a little childish in part.

I enjoyed some of it not all, but still worth seeing.

Interesting critique, I haven't seen it yet and I'm guessing I'll probably have mixed feelings as well. From what I'm hearing it's the cinematography that is its biggest strength?

I'm going to wait till DVD, not particularly keen on this film.

You wont miss that much, if you dont see it at all.
I just had to see it and make my
own judgement from the hype.
The cinematography was nice.
A movie where all the best parts were in the trailer
and not many surprises left.

I thought it was interesting the SMH was crying over it not beating Bond at the box office.... I mean, honestly. Did they expect all Australians to go see it because its their patriotic duty or something stupid like that?

I'm not a huge fan of Nicole. And when I heard that same old breathy accent she puts on for movies, I decided I wasn't going to see it.

They did. But I think we all saw through the hype, and the thinly disguised interviews in place of real hard facts such as reviews.
