Alice! Yes, for those of you who have been watching ANTM, it came as a shock to some when the winner of the third series was announced.

Alex Perry, Charlott Dawson and Jodhi Meares assisted the audience in picking 19 year old Alice Burdeu who is renowned for her fiery red hair. Working as a trainee customer service officer for Telstra prior to entering the show, Alice will now get a contract with Priscilla's Model Management.

Alice took out the ANTM title despite some people having voiced concerns at Rosemount Australia Fashion Week that Alice is too thin and therefore not a positive role-model.

Are you pleased with the result of the show?

I didn't see the last AusNTM but have seen some of the press about it. Personally I applaud their decision on the winner and so pleased they didn't buckle to the current nausea of politically correct kick a slim model in the teeth brigade. One of the shows in the UK went down that path and it was a farce, ruling out a beautiful model just cos she was slim and promoting a podge of a girl just to make a point. Successful fashion models are going to be slim- full stop. How slim is slim can be debated all day but as long as she is healthy and naturally slim LIKE MANY ARE!!, then slim, extra willowy models are great for some shoots. A long very lean and interesting body works well in some shots where a more traditional figure would just look plain. Other times a different body shape will work better. There is room for different shapes/bust size/fat distribution in modelling, within certain constraints and it's great to see that diversity. As for this "role model" debate aghhh!! - a professional model is there to sell and to make money for the client, her agency and herself, that's it! It's good if she does it with grace and style and morals but to deny her a career just because some people think her figure is not "right" (maybe too appealing to some), is just bad.

Long live willowy models. Long live diversity:)

Alice is a Doll.
It would have been a massive mistake if she was not chosen. Normally, supermodels are made but this one is born a supermodel.
Models should look great even in an onion sack and Alice puts great value to anything she represents as a model.
Absolutely happy with the decision.
