My picks so far (and no I wont make any Tim Blanks references):

Kris Van Assche: Im no too sure about the presentation of this collection. Its almost looking like an attempt to get into the Goth Ninja market. Its like hes been on superfuture for too long and checking out that Toronto dudes WAYWT. I see too much Number (N)ine from a couple of years back from their show in New York I think it was? The whole shorts and leggings with combat boots have been done to death.

Comme Des Garcons: Its Rei Kuwakubo. Im not even going to try to.

Junya Watanabe: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE his work. Ive always found it fascinating when Japanese designers take their perceptions of tradition western fashion and re-interpret them in their own way. If you really break it down the pieces are very wearable and very subtle. Love the cropped velvet pants. The amount of work that goes into a Comme Des Garcons piece is just pure skill. Once you go black.. haha

Number (N)ine: Takahiro Miyashitas drapery inspiration is always a good show. I like wearing a lot of the pieces that he doesnt show for casual wear. Another icon of WAYWT freaks. But for this collection I really like the jackets. He makes them really well. I cant even begin to describe how good they are. Everyone should go out and buy one. Or three. Lol

Gaspard Yurkievitch: This season seems a lot more toned down then what hes done in the past with break dances and what not. Hes leaning towards more of a Woo Young Mi type of thing with interesting bits of detail here and there. Good for basics this coming winter.

Yohji Yamamoto: Its very typical Yohji style. Those pyjamas look comfy. I think Id wear them out. Throw on a Burberry crocodile trench and youre all done!

Overall: I know menswear isnt as trend focus as womens wear but Im glad that this season a lot of designers are going back to basic coats so theres a lot of options for guys out there to get the pieces they really need to build up their wardrobe. But Im still REALLY excited for the rest of Paris Fashion week. Woo Hoo!

The Henrik Vibskov Men's Autumn(Fall)/Winter - 2009/2010 is in the Fashion Diary.

I love the concept. They were portraying a puppet if i'm not mistaken. I love the face make-up and how the set the stage up and everythang! However, it it quite a headache, because I'm focusing on the floor, his pants, and the circle decor in the back. Yet, it's very clever but the vigilance is crucial. Again, I'm a simiplistic person. Hate it when there are so many things going on at once.
