WOW I must say that I very happy that you are all out there looking out for me! Its like a family. Frist off, I have combination skin. I use Ceptophil as my cleanser and Neutrogena combonation skin moisturiser. I try to keep everything away from my face, even my husbands hands!

Allan, boy are you great! I love all of those warnings! Unfortunatly I do not take any medication what so ever but thank you for your help.

SoHo Babi, I will try the 10 minutes of breathing. I love anything natural. Its just good for you anyways.

Thanks again everyone and if you think of anything else just let me know.
xoxo

Murad, Peter Thomas Roth and DDF have a great range of products. If normal over the counter products don't seem to be working I'd suggest seeing your doctor as it may be a hormonal problem. There are certain contraceptive pills that can greatly improve the condition of your skin.

cetaphil is great! i remember my dermatologist made me get it mixed with something else- not sure what it was but it seemed to work. i'll see if i can find out- i might have some at home. He used to get me to use topical stuff first which is great if u dont wanna take meds. I would go see one though- any good one will make u use lotions and stuff first. Otherwise I have a friend who uses that proactive solution stuff and says it is amazing.

my mum is magic- she makes all sorts of skin care stuff using all natural things, like extracted plant oils, natural clays that come from tree bark ect. seeing as its all natural it does absolute wonders for your skin ( you do need to be persisitant- it could take a month before you notice anything . she can 'customise' it too, for individuals with certain skin conditions. she makes cleansers, toners, moisturiser, acne treatment, eye gel, piercing/tattoo antiseptic, shampoo, conditioner, lipgloss, fake tan, perfume, hairdye... the list goes on!!! personally i think its so much better than putting chemicals that you cant even pronounce on your face! if you or anyone else would like a little sample pack, with a cleanser, moisturiser, lipgloss and maybe a few other things, along with an ingredient list and what each thing does, feel free to send me an email and ill post some out :) i dont mind, as im trying to help mum get her business going so this is a start :)

Before you decide on either a new skin care regime or medication you should see a dermotologist to find out if it is acne or just pimples. There is a difference. Acne is treatable but not curable and pimples are curable. Acne does go away on its own though. Usually later in life. And regualr pimples are usually brought on by unusually dry or oily skin and stressful situations and environmental factors(NOT chocolate which is in fact god for you if you eat small amounts of real dark chocolate). If its just pimples you just need to work on relaxation techniques and find a skin regime that suits your skin(which could take a few months as skin takes a while to adjust to stuff).

uhm acne is curable- i had it and now i dont- cured! its called roaccutaine and its horrible but it will "cure" your acne. Acne tends to run in families and is caused by bacteria + hormones + genes + oily skin. Acne is basically a lot of pimples. But if its serious go see a desmatologist. Otherwise drink lots of water and keep your skin clean and oil free. My uncle (another doctor- i swear my family is full of them) was tellin my cousin last night of a prescription light antibiotic cream which will help if you apply it to your skin- try your gp they may be able to help you- i understand it had no real side effects.

TO ALL ACNE SUFFERERS...

Pro-active, yes the one on late at night, DOES WORK.
Roaccutaine is definitely a last resort and it can take a lot longer to work than expected. A friend of mine has been on and off it for a few years. I have never seen someone's personality change so dramatically or even imagined the open wounds it caused all over her body.
Plus if you don't have severe acne, it's almost never prescribed. Your GP will then charge you a small fortune to try a range of topical ointments. They may work, they may not. They didn't for me.
But, I finally gave Pro-Active a shot. Consider that it's easy to get....even if you don't own a credit card & can't order it off TV, local chemists are now stocking it. (And honestly this is the better way to buy it because you go through the 3 products at different rates and end up with too much of one thing, when they send it to you automatically)
IT'S NOT A CURE THOUGH (IT WILL CUT DOWN BREAK-OUTS DRAMATICALLY BUT YOU WILL STILL GET A FEW ZITS) but for the convenience and results, the drawbacks are minimal.
I, renowned for being crap with time management, find it extremely quick and effective.
TIPS FOR THE BEST RESULTS WITH THE LEAST TIME INVOLVED:
Follow the instructions exactly as they are written. Your skin may get a bit dry, flaky or red at first. Just be a bit more sparing with the product until you get used to it. Trust me, persevere and push through it(unless it really sux Lol.) Your skin will probably adjust...mine has.
Don't stop the routine...be disciplined. One week without it and the zits start creeping back.
Use The Renewing Cleanser(STEP ONE) in the shower. This saves time.
The other two steps take seriously 30 seconds.
Plus this product is available world-wide, so if you move O/S you can still get it!

Get an oil-free moisturiser (Lalisse is cheap, lasts for ages, really helps combat the dryness and is actually an acne-sensitive product)...I thought these types of products were a waste of money but oil-free products really feel amazing, are much better for the skin AND WORK!!!

Good Luck XX

PS: I know 3 other people who have used it and loved the results too :)

Use Biore treatment or Neutrogena...those two are the best and recommended by my dermatologist. They've helped me through my acne emergencies!

egg, milk, honey and a little bit of lemon. you mix the crap out of it and apply, letting it sit for about 10 minutes. do it every other day and you skin will feel better at least and it'll sooth the redness alot. you can add strawberries or grated carrot to it too if you want.
