Which products are best for getting good volume in hair? I love Toni & Guy thickening creme and usually stick with that, but I'd be intersted for any other recommendations as to what's out there?

Well it depends where u want the volume at the crown or in the lower hair? i usually use loads of john freida frizz ease mousse its the best it gives me the best hair everytime.

I like Bumble and Bumble's thickening spray. I'm just a huge Bumble and Bumble fan though; all their products are fabulous, if a wee bit pricey.

The best way is to be born with naturally thick volumous hair. Otherwise professional stylists use a Sea Salt spray its very good for volume and style.

Lol, unfortunately I think it's too late for that! ;) I love sea-salt spray though, it does give a cool effect.

I've heard Volumizing Tonic from Aveda...I haven't tried it tho i've heard its great.

I use a sea salt spray at the roots. It gives some texture without weighing the hair down like a lot of styling products can. Its also go for all over texture for a messy look, just scrunch your hair upwards in your hand and give it a short blast with a hot dryer.

If you want a lot of volume try teasing the layers underneath...not really 80's hair band teasing but just scrunch the comb a couple of times, you may find that will help...especially with something like a pompadore.

Believe me, if I was any good at teasing my hair and getting it to stay big and sexy, I'd have 60s sex-kitten hair every day of the week ;) Lol.. Well maybe not every day, but still...



Well practice makes perfect as they say. You've now also made me want to master the pompadoure. I shall keep experimenting with all the above ideas :)
