Okay fashionisers, it's a really self-indulgent post as I wrestle with the dilemma of whether to buy this bag in black or tan!
But it raises the question, when do you do a tan bag and when do you go for black?
I wear black most of the time and usually tote a black handbag.
Should I break out with caramel, or stick to the licorice formula?

definately tan..... it can make your outifit if you want to go simple... eg jeans, white t shirt and tan bag with a cute necklace is alredy shopping worthy... or u can pop on some tan boots which r reeli in at the moment, black handbags i dont recomend this winter, tan is so in and not only that, it goes with everything, black, white, blue... and it compliments it
tan all the way..!

I'd also recommend the tan. Colour combinations aside (and it'll work with a lot more things) black backs get so boring, every girl seems to carry one and it's seldom that you see one which really stands out (admittedly it's how it's carried which makes it stand our most of the time). But tan bags seem to have much more of a presence and a social standing.

I'd be interested to see the black version beckyb.
But um depends how many black handbags u hv and how many tan you have.
Personally I'd go black only because I hv a few tan and the black is classic for me...a girl can never hv too many black handbags...I am thinking it has gold buckles (on the black version) which will go well with beige boots and can look quite classic when accessorised right.
Actually...I'd probably buy them in both colours!! Go on...you know you want to! :P

Soho, you're evil! ;) Lol... that little demon on one's shoulder telling them to spend spend spend... :D I love it. But anyway, they'd both be really practical. But given it looks great in the tan colour, and would be that bit more interesting, I'd probably go tan. Black will match everything - but won't liven up an outfit as much.

Thanks girls/Dan... and Soho, I know I want to buy both, too! I really need a new black one, but you're right, tan's interesting. Here's the black:

The black is nice but seeing the photos, i'd definitely prefer the tan. There's nothing to make the black stand out.

I like the tan better. It looks classier too. I'd pick another kind of bag if I wanted it black. It doesn't look as good in black, IMHO. It's a very nice bag though.

The Tan one is nicer.
