I started to read 'The Passionate Shopper' by Marion von Alderstein this morning on the train. I was impressed that I was quite intrigued by it. Absorbed a lot of things. von Alderstein use to write for Vogue between 1976 and 1998.

What else is a good read by reputable and credible people in the industry?

xo!

I was told by a friend and Fashioniser that "Schmattes 'stories of fabulour frocks, funky fashion and flinders lane" by Lesley Sharon Rosenthal is a great book about the history of fashion in Melbourne. I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet - not sure if it would interest you being in Sydney though?

Took a note of that Tania. Thanks darling! I love my history so it being about Melbourne is even better! :) I am in love with von Alderstein! I wouldn't say it engages me like Shakespeare does, the language is dry but the content is delish! It covers everything! From hotels to stay at when travelling to tips for dressing according to particular occassions!

& yes i was sold on the pink cover at first & then i read her accreditations & her elegant pose was convincing!
