Boxing Day MADNESS!

So, it's Boxing Day, and we all know what that means. Boxing Day sales.

50% of this!
Huge savings on that!

And being fashionable people like we are it's hard for us to not go.
I attempted to go today (key word being attempted) and even with all those enticing sales I just couldn't buy anything!
Not because I didn't want to, oh no, but because I couldn't!
My days grand total spending was $2.30 on a cookie at Mrs. Fields because I got a little peckish trying to push my way though crowds of selfish and inconsiderate people.
Today was just chaos, total chaos! I even had a lady ram me with her trolley trying to get her way into a store. It hurt too.

So, I wanted to know if anyone has had any Boxing Day sale stories about anything they have seen, or done while trying to grab a bargain.

went to myer, bought 2 kenneth cole handags (total $380), GUESS had 50% off everything so got a dress and pair of shoes (no handbasgs- eww eww) and a cute handbag from hype, 2 dresses from a random store, and some work clothes from cue. some places had good savings but the crowds were too huge and i had to leave a few stores due to feeling claustrophobic! and all the good stuff, was still full price! my bfs sister got elbowed int he face, mom got pushed into a clothes rack, and i got my toes stomped on by a crazy in stilettos while tryin shoes on.

What did I get today?

* Sony Bravia TV
* Pioneer HDMI DVD player
* Antique hall piece
* Ralph Lauren bedding ($9.95 from $200)
* Yamaha home theatre system

Saw lots and lots of specials but couldn't be bothered queueing to get them - the crowds were horrendous. That said, I'll return over the weekend when the same specials exist and I don't have to put up with the crowds.

Worst thing I saw? Just people with no manners. Like people at certain stores who were literally throwing entire piles of clothing on the floor in order to find 1 t-shirt in their size. What causes people to be so piggish?

It was definitely crazy today... I think it's best to go for the sales you don't always get, like the homewares, electronics and bits and pieces whereas clothes are difficult and not always worth the effort. Mind you, there were some good designer shoes on sale today that I came across! I managed to keep myself in check, but it was awfully tempting.

Crazy scenes again today in the city, not as bad as yesterday, but why queue for an hour to get into Chanel? Insane.

I went to Southland, gave up then went to DFO. It was cheaper at DFO and less people...go figure! Bought a hat for $15 and the same hat was at Southland for $50...once again go figure :)
