Has anyone seen the Chasers War show? I absolutely think its the best show ever! But i wonder sometimes if the stuff on it is true (if the people involved know about the stunts). Or do people find it offensive? I think the commercial stations want to buy it off ABC.

It is the greatest show on TV atm. We desperately need shows that make light the BS of politicians and the media, otherwise its just depressing :P

I think channel 9 is doing their own "Chaser-like" show.
Expect it to be no where near as funny as any show on a commercial network would be watered down, censored, and "advertisement friendly"

They also have quite a following on the net (youtube) for some of their US gags

chasers is great. funnily enough we use it at uni as a tool for true analysing of the media.
dont think ABC are gonna wanna sell it cheap... brings in great ratings for them

I like Chasers, often their humour is amusing. I am, however, fundamentally opposed to the show being on the ABC. It's simply not the role of the ABC to fund a show which is both commercial, and politically slanted, because they're doing it with our money. Fine if it's a commercial network, it's their own money they're throwing at it, but when the show has a political bias it shouldn't be paid for with tax payers money.

They were brillient to start with, but i think they've lost their way a bit. Becoming a bit main stream.

Utter tossers, using our money to make us look like pratts in front of the entire world.

The worst part of that episode was when they went to the Chinese Embassy and declared their intention to assassinate the Chinese President. Sadly, despite it being sovereign Chinese land, the embassy staff didn't have the good sense to arrest them.

I disagree. I don't see a political bias, it's a comedy where anything, everything, and everyone is fair game.

no alliances, no bias

Agreed, I thought it was completely inappropriate and hope that they will be punished to the fullest legal extent.
