Haute Couture is the oddest thing - often very entertaining, but from a business point of view I can't imagine how it adds to their bottom line.
I think its more like, look we're so cool and we care so little about selling stuff we do this, also it looks cool =]

Post by AllanI think it's actually really clever marketing. You create the most out there stuff (you can't get much more out there than outer space, can you?) and you get into every newspaper with a fashion column, and a few hundred blogs. The amount of 'free' publicity garnered is amazing.

Thats what I meant. To get the same coverage would have probably have cost them 10 time the amount, it got use talking anyway =]
