How to wear: Red.
I've confessed my fear of this colour... I'd like to know how other people wear red, and whether you think it's a good idea?

i wear red sometimes, tanned sking and black hair helps. it can look really elegant, or garish, depending on how you wear it. A classy red dress is always a showstopper! and red heels always make you feel better...

I have red boots and lots of people have had good comments when I wear them. I also have a red dress and red skirt and a few other red items. All of these red items, I have to wear black or denim with it to even out the red so it doesn't blind people with it's brightness or be too overly red.

I agree, red usually needs another coloured item to take away the STOP effect. Very very very hot on a well fitted dress, though I would suggest confidence is a must. Its a strong power colour and attracts attention to the wearer.

I agree its a strong power color and not for the meek. I do wear bright red almost everyday though. In fact i am wearing a gray and red striped top with my black skinnies as we speak. Helps to be a redhead with pale skin too.
Oh next red purchase since its getting rainy :P

i cant carry red very well at all, but i do love red accessories, i have a hot vintage red belt, a red beret' and other little items, but there is no way i could look amazing in a red dress - it would look awful!

From a Colour Consultants point of view, almost anyone can wear red successfully... it just depends on the tone of red it is, and the intensity of it. If you suit warm colours, then lean towards a slightly more orangey/warm red. If you suit cool colours, then go for a cooler, blue based red. If you have darker hair, you can often pull off a more intense, clear, bright red. If you have a softer, paler look, then go for a slightly muted red. :o) Hope that helps a little.

my mum does red well lolll so i never thought it a fun girly colour but rather an 'independent im old & confident' kinda one. i prefer orange and yellow. I have been through a red bikini & cossie though.. red bag & belt. have a patent red pair of shoes from midas, had fun with those last spring! & a orangey pani red dress that i am yet to wear! so whats the conclusion? if u dont wear red your not confident? nonsense!
