Since quite a few seasons already Converse has been working together with the high-end fashion designer John Varvatos. Next to the Converse (Product) Red products, these pieces mark the most exciting footwear and clothing coming out of Converse in general.
The Fall/Winter 2007 collection of the Converse by John Varvatos line looks very promising. Both clothing and footwear is looking good with lots of black and khaki colors. The clothing consists of a wide variety of styles and has some especially nice jackets in the line-up. The sneakers have as usual premium details such as leather laces, special fading and overall premium materials integrated into Converse classics.

I have a love/hate relationship with John Varvatos's gear for Converse. It seems like 80% of each piece is on point, but the remaining 20% reminds me that he is in his mid-40's and trying very hard to be cool.
