The Costume Institute Met Gala is tonight, celebrating 'Model As Muse' but already there is much pissy anger going into it. Above all Cathy Horyn reports that Azzedine Alaïa has asked 7 models not to wear his clothe this evening because his work is not in the exhibit. Even some models including Naomi Campbell will not attend due to this. Her spokesperson states that:
As Naomi has been the muse of Azzedine Alaïa for 23 years, she feels she doesnt want to attend unless she can represent his work.
Linda Evangelista and Stephanie Seymour were also suppose to wear Alaïa this evening.
Fashionologie also reports that the Gala will be Trinity-less (Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell). Why? Because the institute chose Kate Moss to co-chair the event.
