i heard the models at lacroix only got paid 50euros... is this true? also, balenciaga was disappointing. margiela was... well... "interesting". and i think valentino showed promise for the future.

in all i thought givenchy was the best.

Daul Kim is amazing.
I think we don't see enough of Hyoni Kang.
Chanel Iman's half Korean as is vintage supermodel Kimora Lee.

Daul is effing weird man but she's brilliant love her to death!!!!!... i refresh her blog every hour for updates.. lol jks
I think Chanel's mum is half korean.. i saw a video of her once. she looks more black than korean. I don't know if Hyoni's done haute couture yet.. but she soooooo cute when she won the award from ford
and yeah.. where did Hye Park go?

wouldnt surprise me. Lacroix said he got the entire collection for free as he's selling up and packing. From the venue to the catering and the embroidery. Which is insane seeing as though a beaded dress can easitly start off at like $70,000 AUD

The models at Lacroix were paid the minimum fee according to French laws although they would have done it for free to help out the bankrupt couturier.Lacroix's HC collection was a minor couture miracle as it was haphazardly finished with the help of his clan of intimate friends like Master embroider Lesage and a bevy of suppliers, accessorists, hair and make up artists etc who all voluteered their services for free wanting to help their friend go out with a bang.A rich lady customer even wanted to pay his bills and buy his House but he politely declined.Realisticly is wasn't a good longterm solution.
Less showgirl and falbala than usual, Lacroix's swan song collection was nevertheless remarkable and a lesson in the essence of French Haute Couture.I was never really a Lacroix groupie but I have to admit he did epitomise French Haute Couture in all its frilly glory and precious ridicule. The collections won't be the same without him. However I don't think we've heard the last from him.
