What do you do when you have a crush on someone?
How do you tell if they like you back and should you ask them out even if you work with them?

Legitimate question...the new guy at the MAC counter is sooooo cute.

Interesting, I guess you try to shmooze them to see what sort of reaction you get back.

Question for you, do you know the MAC chaps preference? I'm guessing that working for MAC the preference is more likely to be the way you want it to be!

Don't think it really matters that you work with them... obviously it can be a problem if things turn out badly, but personally I don't think you should ever pass up an opportunity on what bad things 'might' happen. I suppose just try flirting and see if you get a good response before you say anything outright... (and of course let us know how it goes)... ;)

I'm interested to hear others stories about crushes and the like.

Sad news: He has a boyfriend...a doctor/professor boyfriend
Good news: He is very flirtaious and they haven't been going out long...I know that's a horrible thought.

On a related subject: I'm known for my crushes and they seem to come and go quickly so I'm sure there will be many more to come on this thread.

And to even more: What about friend crushes...I totally love this guy at work but not in a I-want-to-date-you way, but also he's so cute and we're not friends...so it's crushish.

Hmm friend crushes... I guess in one sense if you are friends to start with and then start noticing that they're cute that can be good. In terms of relationships, anyway, because lasting relationships are often based around freindship :) Does that make sense, I'm a little slow this morning... (not that that's anything unsual.)

I luv luv the crush stage...how excitement. Have fun with it I say...'KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid'....and who knows he might just find you a lot more fun!!!!...than his doctor boi..or you could all play doctors & nurses together! ;-p

As for work collegues...hmmm...that is a definite no go zone for me!! It just doesn't mesh...but a flirt is alright if kept at that only.

Quick Question:
When would you find it acceptable to tell someone that you love them?? I have been seeing this 22yo for just on 4 weeks & he wrote in a text message today...'love mark'...not luv...but love. This scares the bejeebies out of me & I am almost inclined to call the whole deal off now!

I totally agree soho babi. The "love" thing freaks me out as well - especially in the early days. Maybe we have commmitment issues?

"Love Mark" is hardly the same as "I love you, Mark"...so I say continue see him 'Babi and maybe it will all work out
