Has anyone ever tried doing their own wax finish over a pair of boring jeans? I love the slight sheen and rugged look that u get on wax wash jeans (think dior homme, acne)- kinda like its wet. so i googled it and found 2 completely different methods.
the first one sounds more difficult and a bit dangerous (mixing beeswax and linseed oil and turpentine over a stove) not to mention if u did that you'd produce a big vat of hard candle wax in your permanently ruined pot.

and then there's one that looks easier but its not really wax washing.. more along the lines of painting shiny acrylic paint over your jeans..so its kind of cheating and im a bit hmmm about it transferring onto furniture after its done. http://fluxorist.blogspot.com/2008/07/diy-waxed-jeans.html
but these ones look awesome and its easy as (but u cant wash them??):
ohh there's the luster wash and the wax wash... but no I wouldn't really do it to my jeans... i'd just get another pair of dior homme wax wash jeans.. haha
but it looks fun though... i'd probably do it just to make a mess
oh yeah! and you're not supposed to wash them.. specialist dry cleaner... there's apparently only one in melbourne...
alternatively do what the hundreds of gen Y kiddies do and use antibacterial wipes and air dry
not wash them? ewwy. i had bad enough heart failure when told not to wash my nudies for 6 months and "put them in the freezer if the smell gets bad" eww.
