So remember the two gay penguins that were stealing eggs? Turns out they were the best parents at the zoo.

We decided to give them two eggs from another couple whose hatching ability had been poor and theyve turned out to be the best parents in the whole zoo, said one of the keepers.

Its very encouraging and if this works out well we will try to arrange for them to become real parents themselves with artificial insemination.

Wildlife experts at the park explain that despite being gay the three-year-old male birds are still driven by an urge to be fathers.

One of the responsibilities of being a male adult is looking after the eggs. Despite the fact that they cant have eggs naturally, it does not take away their biological drive to be a parent, said one.

Dutch designer Marten Baas Chinese inspired work originally found light at an exhibition in Shanghai. More of this memorable sculptural design, which sees traditional Chinese furniture melting into glorious pools of wood, was on view earlier this month at Design Miami.

A Legendary Umbrella Shop in London

"Our man in London" Mark Obstfeld points the way to the world famous James Smith and Sons Umbrella Shop, which was founded in 1830 and is still owned and run as a family business. For 175 years the company has been making umbrellas, sticks and canes for both ladies and gentlemen and their reputation as the home of the London umbrella is well justified.

Swordsticks you say.

I remember going past this shop in London and thinking it was amazing. The fact that such a shop can carry so much unique and interesting stock on one niche item! It's gorgeous - definitely worth a look.

A truly amazing store.

And a truly amazing child. I too like hores at such a young age. And I've been giving them a good ride since I was at least four.
