do you or have you bought any designer goods from ebay?

and if so, what do you do to ensure you don't end up with a fake?

i haven't as yet.. but i'm currently looking for a designer agenda... any tips? :)

I've bought quite a few things from eBay that are designer goods, a variety of clothes and accessories including a Paul Smith bag, wallets and so on. Once or twice I've got fakes, but quite a few of the resellers will allow you to return them (they usually state this in the auction) if that's the case.

How do I ensure I'm not getting a fake? Know your product. The items I got fakes on I knew nothing about, I just thought they look cool and ordered them. If you're spending big $$$ always ask to see heaps of photos of the item. Particularly ask to look at the labels, they're usually a big give away.

good advice!

does anyone know much about the lv millenium "day meets night range"..
i'm looking at an agenda from that range (which was only produced for the year 2000 and so i'm having trouble finding something to compare it to)

I'm very, very dubious about buying from Ebay... I would say about 50% of the goods are fakes - although the ones that are fake are pretty obvious, especially LV. LV is just one of those brands you definitely cannot fake.

Definitely avoid the sellers from any Asian countries.

Do you have a link to the item you're thinking of buying?
