Microsoft recently launched the Zune, touted as the iPod killer. The press will say things like that when you invest millions into marketing.

Though they have the media onside, do they have us onside? Frankly I think the Zune is one of the ugliest MP3 / video players on the market.

I haven't paid much attention to it, but from the pic it looks very plain. From the physical design there's no innovation or creativity there, just copying the ipod.

The only good thing about it is a big screen. I think everyone will still be going for the iPod.

I'm loving the Sony S200 series though. Might get me to do some regular exercise... I sense heart failure will come sooner than later.
