Alicia at Element in Woollahra. But the BEST haircut I've ever gotten was by Kirk at Orient 4 in Hong Kong. The man is a genius. The first time ever I've let someone just do whatever they want and he cut me this fringe that I never thought I could wear and I'm ashamed to say, the haircut was so good that I didn't cut my hair for 6 months and the style was still there. I'm actually going back to Hong Kong and marjor reason is to get a cut from him. Charges a fortune but oh well!

I have had the same hair stylist for the last 7 years and I dont think I'll ever go anywhere else. She always manages to squeeze me in and I don't think I've had a price hike the entire time I've been going even though I know her prices have gone up. I am going in to see her next Thursday to get my extensions taken out and my hair cut/dyed/spoilt since it's too hot to have the extensions in now. No idea how I am getting it cut though...

My old stylist was my ex's sister...so eventually I had to give her up in a bid to get rid of him too...now I have found Cassandra @ Q Style on King Street. She's great & makes for a great gossip session...styling is great & the peppermint tea is sensational....not to mention the people watching abilities & location!

Yes, I have a favourite hairstylist at a hairsalon nearby. I have to stick with her (Novita), because she is the only hairdresser I've ever met, who KNOWS what to do with my hair. Others always ruin it. Because I don't really have european or asian hair which is much easier to work with.

It certainly is a challenge to find a good stylist ... especially a good men's stylist. Masci Hair at Chadstone sounds good (I've heard of them before, but never been. I'll check them out next time.)

Anyone else know of any shining examples that are based in Australia?

I've had the same hairstylist since I was 11; she knows my hair and does what I ask (not lopping off an extra three inches and thinning it out to a gross extent which is what happened when ******** Model Management took me to a high end part of town to get my hair cut for a competition I was part of; it took two and a half hours to get my hair cut and I wasn't a fan of the style at the end).

My hairstylist was with a salon but became independant and she's fantastic.

Courtenay xoxox.

(P.S.: I say ******** because I don't want to implicate the Model Management company; it's not their fault the hair salon didn't do a good job.)

Steve @ Real in Elwood is mine & the man knows his stuff. Some fashionisers saw him in action on Sunday at the Joolz/Georgia Fields and the Freeways shoot & I'm sure they'd agree he's a guy that knows what to do with hair :)

Yes, I do, and she's been my stylist for the past four years and I'm never gonna change her simply because she always seems to know exactly what kind of hairstyle I want. She's the best
