Do you shop on ebay? What do you think of it?

i think ebay is great! just buy from good, well-known sellers. read up on them and use toolhaus to check negative feedback (if any).

I actually do not buy on ebay because I am off the opinion that it is very unsafe, well at least that is what I still happen to think. I am quite unsure of what I should think about that Website, because you cannot proof whether a seller is trustworthy or whether he is not.

I'm loving eBay. It's definitely the site that revolutionary changed the way of shopping to many people. I'm a terrible bidder since I keep losing most auctions but it's a great way to find things that are no longer on sale or perfect for browsing.

eBay can get pretty intense at times. =P

I have bought some specialised fashion items on e-Bay, for instance a little sailor suit for my baby (that I couldn't get anywhere else), and I love the vintage clothing. I don't buy regularly on e-Bay, and I think there are a lot of fakes and cheap rip-offs.
Thanks, I will check out OZTION, the Australian site.

I used to like buying stuff from ebay from time to time especially clothes but don't have the desire to browse through ebay anymore as it can be time consuming. I would only buy things like dvds on ebay nowadays, and prefer to buy clothes, shoes or bags in retail or department stores, or dedicated online boutiques such as net-a-porter.com etc.

I have sold several items on ebay which some of them were sold at bargain prices and I am honest in what I sell.

I wouldn't buy high end designer items such as bags and jewellery on ebay, and it surprises me when I come across obvious fake jumbo/large Chanel bags that get sold at min $2000. Then again, there are people who rig the system. And not to forget the many T&C jewellery that get sold practically daily. I don't know how people sleep after selling fake items, and misleading the consumer through their ad.

I also don't like the fact that ebay makes a profit on a percentage of your earnings, then again, it kind of makes sense if you're utilising ebay to assist in selling your item(s).

Overall, ebay can be a good online service to sell and buy but there is a higher level of risk compared to buying in store or though other online stores.

Welcome to the new age of shopping and business via cyberspace.

I think its great, i've picked up eyelashes for under a pound, great vintage clutches, clothing and more.. but you have to have patience.. try doing it during the week if you want to find something great as lots of people are shopping on the weekend so its harder to bag a bargain but you should do it non the less.

I love eBay, but I never use it to buy designer items, a lot are fake or they just don't arrive.

A friend tried to buy the suede V.W Pirate Boots from ebay for £150 cheaper than Hervia, but they never arrived and she had loads of hassel trying to get her money back. So I just don't trust eBay enough to spend over £50 on there.

You just have to be careful, and make sure that the seller has a good reputation on E-Bay.

I overbought some Jimmy Choo's at H&M and decided to sell a few pairs on E-bay that had literally never been out of the box. Because the demand was so high, plenty of people bid on them and I made a little bit of money off of them.

I think there are TONS of people like me on Ebay who have really quality designer goods. Just check the sellers ratings to make sure previous buyers have had good experiences with them.
