Do you think the 80's revival will catch on?

What do you think of the 80's revival in the fashion world? Would you wear the bold shoulders, ripped tights, and neon brights? I know I would, I'll wear anything that makes a statement. Give me your opinions on this trend.

It's a bit 2008 now. 2009 and 2010 will look more to a revival of the 90s.

Depends, I don't think people are going to go full on 80s but I've seen really nice blazers with statement shoulders, that are subtle, yet edgy which have already caught on.
As for the neon, it keeps coming in and out every few years as far as I can remember :)

I don't think this trend will survive. Talking about "common"wear (that's to say how normal people dress, not considering catwalks of that period), the 80s have been the worst decade ever for fashion.

The current big shoulder trends are partly rooted in 80s fashion, but are much sharper and a more refined silhouette. In many ways they're actually closer to the shoulder pads of the 1940s rather than the power suits of the 80s.

Also as Daniel says, we had a big 80s rehash in the earlier to mid part of this decade with leggings, stilettos, Raybans (revival of a revival of a revival), and so on, whereas 2009 has actually seen some 90s grunge trends resurface.

I think particular elements are still relevant, but moving away and to more modern interpretations.

I agree with Daniel, but I do love those Mad Men!
