Does anyone else love P.G. Wodehouse & Oscar Wilde?
I love them both!
A couple of my favourite P. G. Wodehouse quotes:
"There is no doubt that Jeeves's pick-me-up will produce immediate results in anything short of an Egyptian mummy."
The Inimitable Jeeves (1923)
"There came from without the hoof-beats of a galloping relative and Aunt Dahlia whizzed in."
The Code of the Woosters (1938) (that one reminds me of some of my 'lations)
And some of my fave Oscar Wilde's:
"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
"There is no sin except stupidity."
"The one charm about marriage is that it makes a life of deception absolutely necessary for both parties."
