This season's accessories for Dolce & Gabbana aren't just about a pair of sexy sandals. The fashion house last week unveiled a cell phone in collaboration with Motorola that will retail for around $550 worldwide. The MotoRAZR V3i Dolce & Gabbana cell phone is made of gleaming gold and silver metal and is engraved with the designers' logo. The phone is an updated version of a limited-edition model that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana produced together with Motorola last year. The sleek new design is fitted with a slew of extras customized by the duo, including a swinging gold pendant featuring the initials DG, three disco polyphonic ring tones and a voice that announces the name of the Italian fashion house when the phone is switched on or off. To promote the phone, the designers have created a print campaign that includes a portrait of them photographed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino.

It's amazing how well the V3 has done in terms of sales, yet so many people report back that the quality is terrible!
In Melbourne? They're getting promoted pretty heavily in UK phone stores I've noticed. Most have promotional posters in their windows.
