Double Denim - In or Out?

Last Updated: 02.03.2010 at 14.33
In my opinion, "Double Denim" or the "Canadian Tuxedo" as some like to refer to this phenomenon is one of the most apalling trends to make a come back in quite some time.

I'm so disturbed by this trend that I felt the need to write up a blog post about it: Double Denim is NOT Good Fashion

Please take a second to check out the story and let me know what you think? Is Double Denim going to be all the rage this season? Or do you agree that this fad is one throwback that should NOT be coming back.

Thanks for sharing that Daniel, that is a great post! I am very glad to see that I am not the only one who is absolutely not feeling the double denim.

No kidding... This style is rather disturbing... I do recall that, not expecting anything bad in the world, I once went to a New Year´s party with my sister (both of us totally dressed up... ) and friends of us who are siblings as well. I was SO shocked when I saw BOTH of them wearing double denim. Total overdose... That was the first time I saw that kind of look in all my life... And now I know the name for that kind of misery...

I've been actually trying to restyle double denim in my mind to try and make it look smexy but am having a hard time. So far my thoughts were altering denim colours to avoid blue on blue, changing the denim length such as a skirt or short jacket with something else in between to break the outfit. So you can have like a black denim on blue denim with white in between to break and define each item. Black and white denim seem more versatile to style than blue.

Really glad to hear that there is such a consensus on this! I was afraid I was losing my mind / love for fashion! Glad I'm not alone in this.

I was so irritated by this trend that I felt inspired to write an additional post with another 5 terrible fashion trends (http://crockstarlimited.com/blog/5-trends-that-should-never-have-resurged/) that have resurged in the last few years.

I would love to get some input so feel free to leave a comment and add any least favorites!
