i'm a fan of simplicity and elegance. I love my diamonds (i wear them everyday!) but that crystal on everything looks 1)tacky and 2)cheap. Sure if you have the diamonds then wear them but please, don't put that stuff on everything! unless its on a piece of jewelery, in my opinion its overkill. but i LOVE my diamond earrings (and the next person who asks if they are fake will get shot)
oh and i LOVE pez too

Gold Chocolate Fountain
Hmmm, I don't really have an issue with chocolate fountains I have to say ;) Though I could probably do without the gold plating and just get the 229 pound one!

I confess. I love crystals and diamonds :D I think this is why I adore Dita von Teese. Almost all of her costumes are convered in Swarovski crystals.

I have to admit my favourite 'bling' item is my engagement ring. Solid platinum with 10 black diamonds set flush into the circumference. It weighs a tonne ;)

My least favourite diamonte item is the neck ties that are floating about right now. I wanted to use one as a part of a costume but I saw them turning up in bad glamour shots and have sort of turned off the idea or buying one let alone wearing it for a show.

I was missing this thread... so I dugg up a few tacky bling things for your reading pleasure! ;)

Bachelor "star" Erica Rose debuts tiara line:

"If you watched the last season of the Bachelor, the one with the non-Italian prince and the gorgeous Roman backdrop, then you probably caught Erica Rose, the self-proclaimed socialite from Texas. The Paris-Hilton knock-off spent the entire time complaining about the accommodations and prancing around wearing a tiara. Now Erica Rose is taking that 15 minutes of fame (probably more like 5 minutes considering it was just The Bachelor) and selling a new line of tiaras. The line of gold, platinum, pearl and gemstone tiaras is called T-Erica and will debut in late January." From Luxist.

Diamond Studded Mobile Phone Strap:

Its listed price is 100 million yen ($842,000US). It would probably be pretty as jewellery... but I'm not so sure as a mobile phone strap.. :S

happy blingy new year, I say!

I think bling is sort of like fireworks, it keeps excitement levels up...and brings more light and funnnn

imagine landing here from another planet, you'd think: 'geeZ earthlings sure like to sparkle..must be their longing for the stars!' hee hee..

anyway, its just a long lasting trend to enjoy...the next phase might be grunge again, and personally I found that very boring!
