Fake tanning products can be very hit and miss.

What are your recommendations for fake tan - what do you love, and what doesn't work for you?

Coming into the warmer months (in my part of the world anyway) I'm looking to test some out.

Yeah actually this would be quite nice I've had it done both professionally and at home, and since I'm pretty fair I usually come out looking a little like Valentino.

I personally like St. Tropez.
I use it when I want a natural looking tan (I have very pale skin) and it gives a nice light brown, instead of that orange colour that some tans give. I use St Tropez Whipped Mousse, I think I use the dark formula which comes out just right, I find the light - medium too pale.

I don't like Johnson's everyday gradual tanning moisturizer - it gave me orange, blotchy legs!
St Tropez is expensive, but the whipped mousse lasts for lots of applications, so works out quite cheaply in the long run.
You should buy a different product for your face though, the mousse doesn't work for faces. I use St Tropez Intensifier which isn't supposed to be for faces, but I think it works better then the "Rapide face".

Enjoy the nice weather :)

I agree - St. Tropez is good, both the mousse and cream have worked well for me in the past.

For face I usually use Sally Hanson airbrush sun (the face one), it's really quick and easy to put on and gives a natural sort of glow. It CAN cause build up if you put it on too many days in a row but otherwise I really like it.

I also just reviewed one called Antidote Summer Glow (http://www.antidoteskincare.com/)which I also liked - the smell is nice and it looks natural. There's also a checkout code at the moment for 20% off - 09BLFSH.

The gradual ones have never has as good a result for me (may also be because I forget to use it every day! Much easier to put it on once and be done with it.)

I am a bit of fake tan addict and have tested most of the brands ( St.Tropez;Fake Bake;Lancome;clinique;Sun Tan)and can tell You that L'oreal Sublime Bronze is definitely one of the good ones.
I have very fair skin and the color I got from this fake is amazing!!! A nice glow,no hint of orange and no streaks. Many people asked about my wonderful tan.
and what's important , it's cheap:)
