To celebrate Fashionising.com's first birthday in March, 2008 we're going to try a new concept:

Rock A Trend: 8 March 2008

As you will know, we're always watching the newest and upcoming trends; from runway trends to what's being worn by the world's most influential socialites and celebrities. It's never our intention that you should follow fashion trends exactly; but rather be aware of what's going on in the fashion world, and hopefully use our advice to make each trend your own.

So, here's how Rock A Trend March 2008 will work:

* You pick any trend from 2008. It can be from our fashion trends guide, or it can be a trend we haven't featured (it could be catwalk, subculture, and so on).
* You work out an outfit along the lines of the trend, looking for your own unique twist. It's fine to go verbatim, but your own play on it is going to be far more interesting.
* On Saturday, 8 March 2008 you wear your look.
* You take a photo of yourself wearing it.
* You post that photo in the forums or in the Fashion Diary
* The best look wins a prize. We have no idea what that prize is just yet. It'll take more brain storming. It might just be our eternal adoration. But the hottest, best take on one of 2008's trend gets it.
