Fashion industry in Los Angeles

Posted: 09.11.2009 at 17.34
Do you think that it would be a good idea to study Fashion Merchandising at FIDM while being based in Los Angeles, California? Would it be worth the money I'd pay for tuition? I am 16 years old right now and about to finish my senior year. Fashion is what I live for, and I'd like to start a career in the fashion industry, but I'd like to start my career in a place where there are jobs. Are there many job openings in PR companies in L.A?

Thanks, that article was VERY helpful. I think that the best choice if I want to be successful in the fashion industry, would be to move to New York City.

Im not to far from LA and have some freinds at Fidm LA campus and OC campus. I think that its the way to go if fashion is your thing and you are from around here.

Also since that article i am almost positive fashion week is back.
