What is everyone's favourite shop and/or location around the world to go shopping?
I travel alot so I want to know what everyone's recommendations are, whether your favourite boutique is at your local shopping centre or in a street half way around the world...

Hi, Very open ended question as it really depends on your budget and if you can travel or not.

There are many answers about high streets or market towns, which I tend to think is way better than these monster mega malls and arcades.

The high street or market towns have the boutique shops where the atmosphere is more personal and you can find the right things that suit your personality ;)

I just hate being a clone :-)

Hi again, forgot to mention there is a good summary of the worlds shopping capitals on latest fashion guide http://latestfashionguide.com/Blog/The-Worlds-Shopping-Capitals-766.aspx

Madrid is mentioned & I have been thinking about saving for a trip there. Has anyone been to Madrid for shopping?

Tokyo, Japan is by far my fave shopping spot. Shinjuku and Harajuku are amazing hotspots from off the rack basics to high fashion. Japan sales are heavily discounted compared to where I am in Australia. And style wise, I can find more sophisticated, contemporary and more unique designs in stores. I was thinking about going back there soon just to shop.

I hate to say it but I've run out of places to shop in Melbourne (due to sizes and uniqueness). I've been ordering and importing most items from my wardrobe now.
