My friend went to the Flowerdrum for an important work dinner and said whilst the prices were extravegant (eg. $200 for some meals) and the food was good, the actual place itself wasn't that great. I was just wondering if anyone else has been, and what they thought?

The Flowerdrum (Melb) is world-renowned for its Peking Duck. I went there for a work celebration about 7 years ago when I worked for one of the big 4 accounting firms.....unfortunately I was in an advanced state of refreshment before I arrived and cannot offer a credible opinion, other than to say what sketchy details I do recall have the service being culturally theatrical and first class, and the food devine.
