By the description I would lean towards simplicity for all of the above...with the focal being the dress, shoes & hair. You would have to also consider your partner's outfit!
Sounds like you are on the right track with ur hair & make up! Just remember they aren't seasonal pix, they're something you will look back on ur whole life. Aaah the memories. :-)
