Fur is always a contentious issue, and I can't help but notice that a lot of clebs have been wearing it lately... is it growing again as a trend, despite the efforts of groups like Peta?

I know some believe that even faux fur is wrong, because it encourages fur as being fashionable. What does everyone think - is fur ok?

hmm i dunno, i always had lots of fur coats growing up, i dont think any of it was real, but i rather like fur if its done in the right way. i love it when its vintage style but...nothing too bulky.

I think the fur debate will always come down to vintage vs. modern fur, and (understandably) the ethics behind it. The hardest thing facing those against fur is that PETA only come across as a bunch of weirdos - and that isn't helping their cause in the least.

I've always loved fur and used to feel ashamed for loving it. I have a few fur pieces, such as an oversized rabbit wrap, pony fur leather bag and artic fur wrap.

Leather isn't exactly non-animal and I have plenty of leather pieces both standard, medium and luxury leather of all sorts.

Although, by wearing these sorts of pieces can send a negative message to people, that I am promoting fur, particularly when the fur pieces I own are quite obviously big and plentiful. I actually don't feel ashamed for loving fur and wearing it anymore, as I'm not an animal activist, even though I don't agree to animal slaughtering and I can live without meat.

I would be fine if fur was banned and removed from this world, but till that happens, and fur is available, then I feel that there is not a problem in purchasing fur. Leather and fur are just as animal as each other. However, I would not go as far as to purchase the fox headed scarf, or to purchase fur, with the knowledge that the animal was killed, primarily for its fur.

I've been a vegetarian at one stage for a long time and almost bordering a vegan, but after a very long time I've learnt to eat meat on a more holy method, in which I am grateful to consume meat and acknowledge that animals are dying for human's continuous consumption. Though, I rarely consume red/white meat anyways.

It's not contradiction that I eat some meat and have fur and leather in my wardrobe that I wear out from time to time. As I still hold strong views on animal cruetly, but believe that I cannot save animals from being harmed on a daily basis around the world, and I would be stripping a part of my sense of style, if I pretended not to like fur and restrict myself from wearing fur, to limit the amount of people who are supposedly promoting fur and animal cruelty due to wearing fur.

I rather wear fur than to eat meat. Either way, I have my views and others do too. Just because I wear fur, doesn't make me a bad person or a more inhuman person compared to someone who doesn't wear fur etc.

for a school play i was a queen and i had to wear a fox around my neck, it was really quite disgusting, it still had the head, and it was real, from there i was put off real and faux fur, though i agree some can look tasteful, not the ammount that is shown in the above pictures, and no i dont think wearing fur makes you a bad person

personally, i have a few fur pieces. I have a beautiful vintage fur coat of my mothers, as well as a cropped black rabbit fur jacket, a faux fur jacket, wrap, etc. I see it this way, if you are ok with wearing leather, then why complain about fur? When i was very young, I cried the first time i learnt the cropped jacket was rabbit fur. and then mom sat me down and told me that not only were rabbits a pest in many countries, they were eaten as well. And if we dont like fur, do we still like suede? are we giving up our shoes/sofas/jackets/jewelery/car interiors/pastry brushes/hair brushes because they contain animal skin/hair?
