yeah its not on the top of my checklist when buying stuff and i always wondered if it was the same for others. Ive been to a number of seminars where they make point of using the eco-edge as a marketing advantage but i have yet to agree or see any actual success from a particular brand. the general public arent aware or just dont care unfortunately.
i am all for GREEN in every aspect of my life EXCEPT I havent brought it into my wardrobe. In saying that though I am a big purchase every now and then shopper rather than a weekly shopper as I cant afford it, because of that I am saving for big peices I want so bring Green in hasnt really been possible... I am very socially and economically concice though and am doing my darndest to do the best I can to save our world.
I actually love the designs of the bags - certainly compared to most 'eco' products I've seen. My question is around how well they can sell as a luxury product - does the 'eco' fact need to be less advertised (i.e. so it's merely incidental to the purchase) or more advertised (so people carry it as a statement that they're doing their bit to make a difference). Or doesn't it matter at all?
Just wanted to let you know, there is a huge range of eco-fashion on show at Fashion Means the World on the 6th of Aug, on show is a massive range of street wear, t-shirts, pants, singlets, and loads of accessories all of them are enviromentally freindly- ie: either organic matierals or vintage/second hand to come down and have a look!
