HIgh waisted shorts

A little while ago, we wrote about denim mini shorts being ubiquitous in the celebrity fashion world. That was last year, and shorts back were tiny with hipster waists.

Since then a trend has emerged for high-waists, in everything from skirts to jeans to shorts.

Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller and Chloe Sevigny wear the trend

Do you think they're flattering?

I don't mind the overall look, but the pair that Chloe Sevigny is wearing are far from flattering, they looks like she's attempting to induce camel toe

You are right, she almost has a camel toe...that was a close call!

i love the high waist look. I have many high waisted jeans and sometimes get funny looks, as its fashion forward and girls are scared to get right into it. im already prepared for summer with my high waisted shorts. i think its a nice change from the over sized look, although both styles are going to be huge this summer, i think its nice we have 2 gorgeous styles to choose from this summer, oversized or tight waisted. It has been in fashion for a while and i have noticed that melbourne or ausyralia dont catch up with the look until 1 or 2 years later. high waist wwas in a little last year overseas, and it is in alittle now in australia but i dont think it will pick up for another year at least..just like ankle heel boots, they didnt catch on until about a year n a half later....anyway i am crappingon. i think it is very flattering and grils should do it more!

I dunno about them...I quite fancied a pair by Lover I think, ages ago, but it's just not something that suits my body type. I'd rather not look like a fashion victim, just for the sake of wearing something instantly forward and trendy :)

Nicole looks fab, but I think it's because there's nothing of her.

I think it does nothing for the womans body. Ugh! Awful. Summer is ending here in America and I really have not seen the high waist much this summer. Maybe it will more next summer. but I hope not. I don't think they make legs look long. Just makes the waist long and the butt flat. I'm still seeing alot of high belts which is still flattering for the bottom.

I don't like this look at all...I'm alright with high waited pants, but the shorts look frumpy.
