if you've got larger than average hips or thighs, STAY AWAY from high waisted pants or shorts girls! I know I will!

I appreciate the high waist look as it apart from looking great can be used in many different styles such as street wear, sophisticated fashion, vintage, to mention a few. It's fun to experiment with. High waisted shorts, skirts or trousers, it all goes!

Fun to experiment with yes, why not? :) I do think it's a trend girls have to be careful with if they don't have the right figure for it.

Hit the nail on the head Tania, like all fashion it's 100% about having the right figure - over slim hips and legs high waisted shorts can be utterly sexy and really highlight a perfect set of pins.

I dunno about them...I quite fancied a pair by Lover I think, ages ago, but it's just not something that suits my body type. I'd rather not look like a fashion victim, just for the sake of wearing something instantly forward and trendy :)

Nicole looks fab, but I think it's because there's nothing of her.

my thoughts exactly.
high waisted shorts look terrific on waifs, but for anyone with curves [and i even mean just enough to have a B-cup bust] they make the torso look overly broad and flatten the bottom into a long, unperky shape.

hmmm, i tend to disagree. i have rounded hips and I think they hit me in all the right places, whereas with the very lowcut pants or shorts I'd have a hard time finding a flattering pair.
I actually think they look better on slightly curvy girls as opposed to waifs. That is of course, if you find a pair that fit well, unlike chloe up there...

That's really not doing it for me, and they certainly aren't doing anything for her figure.

I lived the eighties and the MUM JEANS/SHORTS just didnt do much for the figure. Ok if you had not planned to eat whilst wearing shorts! buy one pair and see how often you end up wearing them, I feel thats the real test. play and enjoyxx
