Hey!

So I have decided to bite the bullet and purchase myself a hot bag. I need something black as I have NO black bags all of mine are brown. It needs to be large so I can use it everyday, but sexy so I can wear it out and with any outfit. I am trying to decide on the following:

Christian Dior Goucho Bag

Marc jacobs Hobo Stam Bag

Balenciaga Motor Cycle Hook Bag

I need a black bag as all of my bags are brown. It is needs to be large enough to use everyday, but sexy enough to wear with any outfit, anywhere! (Except obviously a black tie or formal occasion! hehe) It needs to be a timeless peice that I will always keep and be proud to have in my wardrobe...

I am leaning towards the Dior as I love the saddle bags, it is gorgeous, sexy, flexible, and slouchly leather which I love. The Stam bags seem to be a bit heavy to be used as an everyday bag although is seriosuly hot. The Balenciaga seems like it may be a bit too big for even me to use as a handbag? Although these are not my 'ultimates' I realy want a Chloe bag, money is an issue so I want to buy something quite timeless and that I will use ALOT!

Opinions and Suggestions???

Thankyou guys,

xxx Corrine

My preference goes towards the Dior Gaucho bag. Very stand-out, and I love the horse-riding elements of it. The only trouble is - if you're after something timeless, the Gaucho won't be it.

I think the March Jacobs bag looks more timeless. Have you thought of looking at Chanel's black classic quilted handbags? As I think they are unbelievably breathtaking. The problem is that their bags are quite dear but I think they are worth it.

I think Dior's bags tends to have that seasonal look rather than a timeless edge, but they do distinguish themselves from the rest.

I'd so some research first, work out exactly what details an authentic Gaucho has. The fakes I've seen, for instance, have really poor detail on the coin in comparison to the genuine item.

Do you think the Dior one is a fake?

With the Marc Jacobs one, which undoubtdly super hot, do you think the Hobo or stam, or standard Stam???

I don't think it's a fake, to be honest I don't know. I saw a Gaucho in a store on Chapel Street recently and it was the coin that gave it away, it had about three swirls instead of the intricate patter. What you should do is get as many photos of the real things and then compare to what's on eBay :) Fakes never have the same level of detail.
