I decided that the dior one was probably a fake after looking at real photos and it was too much funny to take a chance on it arriving and being terrible quality! But am about to have brought a Marc Jacobs Stam that is definitly real! Yay! :) With my Chloe dress and new boots I am going to be a site to be seen!

Thanks for all your help

Looking at it there are a few anomalies, particularly on the shoulder straps. They're totally different on the one which is for sale on eBay.

A genuine one

The one for sale

Yup! That was my thought exactly. The one that was listed was older than the one on the Dior site... but I decided not to take the chance. I would have been so angry and disapointed if it had arrived and been terrible. So I have brought the Stam! (Not the Hobo Stam decided that one was too big and therefore harder to use as an evening bag as well) so... yay! I finally own an it bag!! :)

I don't trust purchasing designer bags online because I think theres too much of a high risk of receiving a fake item.

Have you had a look at the Prada range? I think sometimes they have some pretty preppy bags.

i am in agreeance with prettypearls- i would never buy a designer bag online (unless ofcourse you were looikg for a fake and paying $50- but thats another whole moral dilemma). I have one uber expensive handbag. one of these Chanel thingies which was bought from the chanel store in melbourne.

if you are going to pay the money yu may aswell pay alittle extra and get a 100% authentic one where you are sure of it. ever been to malaysia? there depending on what you pay, you can get a perfect identical copy of a designer handbag and the only way you will kow the difference is in 2 months when the strap falls off. And yes, i have seen a fake from malaysia and held it next to a real from a store (LV in this case) and there was NO difference unless you realllly looked at the stitching. Ihave a cousin that spent a whole lot on a chloe bag from ebay and was so sure it was real and when they sent it, it was obvious that it was a fake- i doubt it was the same bag that was even in the photo.

Well LV and Gucci items are cheaper in Singapore as a few of my friends have bought wallets and bags over there

Oroton bags? It's affordable and the quality is good for what you pay for and its not as expensive as a designer bag.
It's not black, but I think this bag looks nice, even though the pattern does remind me of Gucci's signature pattern.

I have brought a Marc Jacobs Stam bag, but not off ebay. A friend of a friend got 2 for her 30th (one from the man which she sort of new about, but another from some friends that had been overseas recently) so I have brought one of hers for half price - yay! I should have it next week hopefully as she lives in Brissy. Yay! :-D I am very excited!

Much better option, getting a real one for a cheaper price, particularly if she hasn't even used it (and I assume she won't have, given she's got another one!) :D
