It seems everyone in LA is heading to rehab these days, but with little success. Has it simply become the thing to do to keep in the headlines?

X17 can report exclusively that Lindsay Lohan was cited for driving under the influence this morning. The Beverly Hills Sheriff's Department received a call around 5:30 am about a driver having lost control of her car at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Foothill Dr., according to Sergeant Mike Foxen of the BHSD. No one involved in the accident was on the scene when officers arrived. The only person on the scene was the witness who called to report the accident, who had recognized the driver of the Mercedes SL 65 AMG black convertible as the young actress.

Lindsay and her two passengers left the scene of the accident in an univolved car and went to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Sgt. Foxen was unaware of whether Lindsay was still at the hospital or not and would not name the facility where she received care.

An officer investigation revealed that Lindsay was intoxicated at the time of the accident and Lohan's car was towed around 6:30 am this morning. Because of the need for Lindsay to receive medical attention, she was never taken into police custody, according the Sgt. Foxen. She will be have to appear in court to face DUI charges in the near future but not date has been set.

X17 photographer Marcello Volpe saw Lindsay leaving the party in the Hollywood Hills this morning around 5 am and described her as looking "completely wasted." He said, "It looked like Lindsay had been partying all night and she appeared to be in no condition to drive."

Apparently they've also found narcotics in the car.

Was there any point to her, or anyone else's, rehab stint?

They found COCAINE! COCAINE IN THE CAR WHEN SHE WAS DRIVING ALL WASTEDDDD.
She better be put into jail or else I'll truly come to believe that there is no justice in the state of California.

Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie all driving under the influence....you would think they were loaded enough to get taxis or their own drivers anyway???

Maybe they can share a cell for Simple Life whatever they're after, I think though Lindsay would shank Paris.

Im not sure what 'shank' means, but it got me thinking, if they all got into a punch on who would win? I recon lindsay - she looks rough, then paris then nicole - nicole would split in two if you flicked her...

girls, take the damn limo!

I congratulate the girls for being 'normal' and driving their own cars. Why should they take extra responsibility to not get caught by police after a fun night? If they were older, I think it is fair to expect more and be so harsh in our judgements but they are girls! I think it's awesome they take the risk & think they are insatiable. If I was a celebrity I wouldn't do it any other way! Your allowed to bend the rules of responsible fun.. :)

PS I absolutely love Lindsay's style so I may be a little biased! If she is doing it for publicity, well she's really got a great team behind her. If that's what it takes that's awesome she's succeeding!

so because you're a celebrity, you can DUI, and possible smash into someone else and kill them? thats such an awesome risk to take isnt it. i dont see how drink driving can be 'responsible' fun. drink drivers arent responsible, they are horizontal folk dancing idoits and its a shame that the drunk shagwit behind the wheel never dies, always their passenger or whoever they hit. how is only fair to be so harsh if they are older? im younger than lindsay lohan but i know not to sniff coke and drive or drink and drive?!
sorry helen but to me it sound like you are advocating DUI and saying its cool if your famous. will it still be cool when they crash and kill someone. i know it wont happen, but say lindsya lohan is shaged off her head, driving down the strett at crashed into a car carying you mum/dad/brother/sister/family/whatever. bet it will still be cool and 'awesome' then.

If you want to support the girls for being "normal" after a night out, then have them call a taxi, not a limo...

if you want to support them being insatiable, then drop the 3 of them in the desert with a case of wild turkey, some dildos, a video camera, a kilo of cocaine, no water, no shelter, and no transportation.
